WOMEN ALREADY REPRESENT 10% OF THE WORKFORCE.
IT'S TIME TO SIGNAL THAT CHANGE TO EVERYONE.

Today, it's safe to say that one in every ten construction workers is, in fact, a woman. Yes, women now represent a significant part of the workforce in an industry that has always been historically male-dominated. But there is still both opportunity and a clear need for them to occupy even more space.
To make that happen, change also needs to be reflected in the work environment—by making construction sites more welcoming and inclusive for women. In this new reality, signs like “Men at Work” no longer make sense. They reinforce outdated norms and stereotypes and continue to validate inappropriate or prejudiced behavior.
If the market has evolved and women are increasingly present, it is time to signal this evolution to everyone.
Starting with a simple change, but with enormous inclusive and encouraging power: replacing that outdated construction signage by a new one: “People at Work”.

MORE THAN CHANGING SIGNS.
WE ARE CHANGING THE REALITY OF MANY WOMEN.

“A woman’s place is wherever she wants.” Perhaps there is no simpler phrase to validate the conviction and the work of the "Woman in Construction" Institute, which, since 2006, has opened doors for more women to be part of this market in various areas of construction.
Everything was born from the desire to take women out of situations of vulnerability and domestic violence, offering them a new perspective of earning a living with dignity. Over these 18 years, countless courses and training have been offered, in addition to free training workshops, which have benefited, directly or indirectly, more than 60 thousand women. Little by little - with effort and resilience - the Mulher em Construção Institute is transforming the construction sector thanks to the enormous productive and organizational potential of women.
